Sustainable Emission Management
Digital infrastructure in carbon footprint management
SDGs We Contribute to

As Aromsa, we follow the global and national efforts to reduce our environmental carbon footprint and set our priorities in line with our country’s 2053 net zero emissions target.
One of the fundamental elements of Aromsa’s Environmental Policy is to take mitigation measures that will affect carbon emissions by avoiding activities that could lead to high carbon emissions. Our target is to achieve Net Zero Carbon Emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) by 2050. In addition, we continue our measurement and improvement efforts for our supply chain emissions (Scope 3).
We adopt an approach based on measurement, reporting and reduction to manage greenhouse gas emissions from our activities in line with our environmental sustainability goals.
We have been calculating our greenhouse gas inventory since 2013 to measure, monitor and report our corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in a scientific, transparent and systematic way.
As part of our digital transformation efforts at Aromsa, we aim to collect all energy and fuel consumption data digitally by establishing a digital emission monitoring infrastructure.
Our emissions data is verified by independent organizations.
| Carbon Footprint | 2022 | 2023 | 2024* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Greenhouse Gas Intensity ((tCO2e)/ton product) | 0.62 | 0.56 | 0.56 |
* 2024 Greenhouse Gas calculations have not yet been verified.
We aim to reduce our transportation-related carbon emissions by sourcing raw materials from local and regional producers instead of long-distance suppliers by choosing certified raw materials in our production processes.
| Other Emissions (tons) | 2022 | 2023 | 2024 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) - kg/hour | 0.9137 | - | 0.08938 |
| NOx Emissions (tons) - kg/hour | 2.1 | - | 2.62 |
| SOx Emissions (tons) - kg/hour | 0.0079 | - | 0.0508 |
| Particulate Matter Emissions (tons) - kg/hour | 0.6206 | - | 0.0795 |
In accordance with the Regulation on Control of Industrial Air Pollution, emission measurements are taken from our chimneys every two years. Our air emission data is well below the limits. According to the Regulation on Control of Industrial Air Pollution, limit values are;
NOx: 40 kg/hour
CO: 500 kg/hour
TVOC: 30 kg/hour
