Sustainable Support for Quality Education

Strong Collaborations with Universities

As part of the collaborations we have established with the leading academic institutions of our country, we host technical trips organized for university faculty members and students. We offer our young people the opportunity to observe the dynamics of the sector on site. During the reporting period, we reached out to more than 100 students, primarily from Middle East Technical University (METU), Yıldız Technical University (YTU), Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Bilgi University, Topkapı University and Haliç University to share our experiences. Our General Manager, Murat Yasa, also shares his guiding experiences with students from time to time, both at our factory and at universities.

We also provide educational materials to schools in our operating region and support projects in the field of education by awarding scholarships to students.

Vocational and Volunteer Based Mentoring Programs

We create social benefit with the activities we carry out in cooperation with the Private Sector Volunteers Association (ÖSGD). within the scope of the “Vocational High School Coaches Program,” we provide “coaching” support to vocational high school students. With the “My Sister Project” we launched with the same cooperation, we offer “Mentoring” support to female students who have difficulties in university life, especially students in the earthquake region. During the reporting period, we continued to support the education of GOSB Tadım Jale Yücel Vocational High School students, which we supported by establishing a laboratory in previous years.

Our Library Support for the Earthquake Zone

We continue our “We Are Here for Education” project to support the access of our children affected by the earthquakes centred in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023, to quality education. In cooperation with the We Are Here Hatay Association, we established our new library at Kırıkhan Beyazıd-ı Bestami Secondary School in 2024 and put it into the service of our students.

Transfer of Experience and Art Support to Young Entrepreneurs

Our General Manager Murat Yasa participated as a speaker in the “Entrepreneurship Training” program organized by the TOBB Istanbul Young Entrepreneurs Board on April 29, 2024, sharing his personal experiences and Aromsa’s achievements with a young audience.

We also provide a scholarship to a viola student at the Berlin School of Music.

We prioritize equal opportunities in education and, as donors to the Koç University Anatolian Scholars Program, we contribute to providing successful and deserving students with access to quality education.

Our Contribution to Gastronomy Forum

Melis Yasa, our Deputy General Manager and Second-Generation Representative, attended the “1^st Gastronomy Trends and Local Cuisine Forum” organized by Istanbul Topkapı University on May 15, 2024 as a speaker. Melis Yasa shared the history of “Food Pairing,” current trends and Aromsa’s innovative approaches in this field with the participants.

Sponsorship and Expert Contribution to METU IFT R&D Competition

As Aromsa, we sponsored the METU IFT R&D Competition in 2024. In this event organized by Middle East Technical University, the only student branch of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) in Türkiye, our R&D unit managers served as jury members and evaluated the innovative projects of young people. Our human resources team answered students’ professional questions throughout the event and offered guidance on their career journeys.

Book Donation Campaign

We donate all the books we collect on our sustainable Christmas tree to schools in need with the support of the Association for Communication and Assistance with Village Teachers. In this context, we brought 953 books to students in 2022, 990 books in 2023 and 1,005 books in 2024.

Supporting Education with Istanbul Marathon

We take part in the Istanbul Marathon every year to support different non-governmental organizations, especially Darüşşafaka Foundation. As the Aromsa Volunteers team that aim to provide quality education and equal opportunities in education, we continue to grow solidarity for a better future.
